What we mean by a Short

A Short is a vertical 9:16 video delivered as an MP4 that is ready to upload to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. YouTube now allows Shorts up to three minutes, but most of the Shorts we cut land between 30 and 60 seconds, because that is where retention holds. One edit works across all three platforms; we keep text and captions inside the safe zones so the interface on each app does not cover them.

You can send vertical phone footage, horizontal gameplay or camera footage that we reframe to vertical, or a link to a long-form video you have already published that we mine for Shorts.

What is included in every Shorts edit

  • The hook. The first three seconds are re-cut so the payoff, the question or the strongest visual comes first. This is the single biggest lever on a Short's performance and the part most creators skip.
  • Pacing. Pauses, filler words and dead air are removed. Cuts land on the beat of the speech or the music.
  • Word-timed captions. Styled to your channel, timed to each word, checked by a person. Auto-captions are not what you are paying for.
  • Sound design and music. Hits, whooshes and risers on the moments that need them, and a track that is synced rather than laid underneath.
  • Punch-ins, zooms and b-roll. Camera moves and overlays that keep the frame changing every few seconds without making it noisy.
  • On-screen text and safe-zone framing for titles, labels, and any callout that has to survive the TikTok and Shorts interface.
  • A loop-friendly ending where the format supports it, so replays count.

We do not add AI voiceovers, stock-footage filler or a template applied to every creator. If your channel has a look, we match it; if you do not have one yet, the trial Short is where we build it with you.

Standard Shorts, simple clips, and mixing formats

Plans are measured in standard Shorts: a full edit with a hook, captions, sound design and motion, usually from raw footage. A simple clip is lighter work, such as a podcast clip, a talking-head cut or a gameplay moment that mostly needs trimming and captions. Two to three simple clips count as one standard Short, which is how a Starter plan stretches from 10 Shorts to as many as 25 videos.

You can also spend part of a plan on long-form videos. A creator who sends one long video a week and wants three Shorts pulled from each is a normal mix, and the long-form edit counts against the long-form allowance while each Short counts against the short-form one. Nothing is locked to a fixed deliverable count.

Turnaround

Shorts are delivered in 24 to 48 hours from the time we receive your footage. Growth plans get 24-hour priority turnaround, and Pro plans can request same-day rush. The free trial Short is delivered within 24 hours. Editors work across several time zones, so a Short sent in the evening is usually moving while you sleep.

What it costs to hire a Shorts editor

A subscription replaces per-video quotes with a fixed monthly cost. On a plan, a standard Short works out to roughly $32 on Lite, $28 on Starter, $25 on Growth and $21 on Pro, before any of the simple-clip stretching.

PlanPriceShort-formOr long-formOr clipsTurnaround
Lite $159/molaunch sale, regularly $249 5 standard Shorts ≈2 long-form videos up to 12 simple clips 48-hour turnaround
Starter $279/molaunch sale, regularly $439 10 standard Shorts ≈4 long-form videos up to 25 simple clips 24-48 hour turnaround
Pro $849/molaunch sale, regularly $1,299 40 standard Shorts ≈13 long-form videos up to 100 simple clips Same-day rush available

Every plan includes unlimited revisions and can be canceled anytime. Long-form counts are typical, not fixed: a simple episode stretches the allowance further, a heavy edit uses more of it, and we confirm exactly where your videos land after your trial edit. Full details on the pricing page.

Subscribe after your trial Short and you receive an extra free Short in your first month. If your first paid Short does not meet your expectations after revisions, we refund your first month in full.

How the process works

  1. 01

    Send footage

A YouTube link, phone footage, raw recordings in our shared Dropbox, or files over email or Discord. Tell us the hook if you have one in mind, or leave it to the editor.

  2. 02

We cut, caption and score it

An editor who knows your niche builds the hook, tightens the pacing, adds captions, sound design and motion, then quality control reviews it on a phone screen.

  3. 03

    You post everywhere

The finished Short arrives as a vertical MP4 ready for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Reels. Ask for changes as many times as you like.

Why our Shorts editors are different

Every editor on our roster runs content of their own. JustMilk grew a Roblox channel and DownFallMain built more than 16,000 subscribers covering Minecraft mods, so when they cut your Short they are chasing the same retention graph they check on their own uploads. That is a different instinct from a contractor working through a checklist.

The company itself came out of Grand Theft Minecart, a GTA-inspired Minecraft server the team has run for more than ten years for over a million players. Gaming is where we started and remains a specialty, but the same editors and the same process cut Shorts for podcasts, vlogs, fitness, education, faceless channels and brands every week.

YouTube Shorts editing FAQ

Do you edit TikToks and Instagram Reels as well as YouTube Shorts?

Yes. Every Short is delivered as a 9:16 vertical MP4 that works on YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Reels, with captions and text kept inside each app's safe zones. If you want platform-specific variants, ask and we export them.

What footage do I need to send?

Anything: vertical phone video, horizontal camera or gameplay footage that we reframe to vertical, screen recordings, or a link to a published long-form video. 1080p or higher is ideal. If you only have the YouTube upload, that works.

Can you turn my long videos into Shorts?

Yes. Send a long-form video or its link and we pull the strongest moments into standalone Shorts, each with its own hook. This is one of the most common ways creators use a plan.

Do you write the hooks and captions?

Yes. The editor builds the hook from your footage and writes any on-screen text. If you have a hook in mind, tell us and we cut to it. Captions are transcribed from your audio and checked by hand.

How many revisions do I get?

Unlimited, on every plan. Ask for a different hook, a different caption style, a different track, or a re-cut. There is no per-revision charge.

Who owns the finished Shorts?

You do. Once paid, the final deliverables are yours. We may show non-confidential samples in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

How is a trial Short different from a paid one?

It is not. The trial Short is produced with the same editor, effort and quality control as paid work, so you can judge exactly what a subscription delivers. One trial per channel, no card required.

One free Short. Same editor, same effort, no card.

Send a link or raw footage and judge the work before you spend anything. If it convinces you, subscribe and get an extra free Short in your first month.
